Steve Hall

Steve Hall started painting and drawing at an early age and developed a love of the English landscape and a desire to capture its ever-changing moods and seasons on paper. This desire was left unfulfilled for many years as he pursued a teaching career in Further Education but following early retirement in 1994, he was able to devote his full attention to painting and, in particular, watercolour.

As his painting developed so did his desire to pass on his knowledge to others and today, he is a popular teacher at many venues around the country and has developed a considerable following at a number of art centres over the last few years.

Having painted for many years in watercolour and acrylic Steve is now concentrating on working with pastels, utilising their textures and wide range of colours for his atmospheric West Country scenes of both town and country.
